Wilson Bulldogs
Coach: Matt Raquet, second season, 20-10.
Last season: 10-2 Berks I champion, 20-10 overall, Berks semifinalist, District 3 fifth-place finisher, PIAA second round.
Schedule: Click here.
PIAA classification: 6A.
Last D3 playoff appearance/victory: 2025/2025.
Key losses: Sr. F/C Emma Williams.
Top players: All-Berks Jr. G Kailani Hardy, Sr. G Laila Jones, all-division Sr. G Laura Crocona (Kutztown), all-division Sr. F/C Violet Houck, all-division honorable mention Jr. G Ryan Leaman (North Carolina lacrosse).
Key players: So. F Jade Lee, Sr. G Janai Tisdale.
Outlook: The two-time defending Berks I division winners are still itching for their first county title since 2014, when they completed a three-peat. Williams decided not to play this season after committing to Ursinus for soccer. The return of Jones, an All-Berks pick two seasons ago before missing all of last season with a knee injury, adds to a talented returning group that is the presumptive Berks favorite.
Gov. Mifflin Mustangs
Coach: Mike Clark, 14th season, 222-116 (315-134 overall, including four seasons at Oley Valley).
Last season: 9-3 Berks I, 16-10 overall, Berks runner-up, District 3 qualifier.
Schedule: Click here.
PIAA classification: 6A.
Last D3 playoff appearance/victory: 2025/2021.
Key losses: All-division honorable mention C Mia Vazquez.
Top players: All-Berks and All-State Jr. G Bella Super, all-division Jr. G Bridget Martin, all-division honorable mention Jr. G Brooklyn George, So. F Saray Renninger.
Key players: Jr. F Ja'Tiyah Case.
Outlook: Core of Super, Martin, George return as upperclassmen with the emergence of Renninger another positive development for the Mustangs last season. Figure to be biggest challenger to Wilson's division crown. The return of Case, who dealt with injuries last season, will be vital in replacing Vazquez's post presence.
Reading High Red Knights
Coach: Rashida Suber, sixth season, 60-54.
Last season: 8-4 Berks I, 17-9 overall, Berks champion, District 3 qualifier.
Schedule: Click here.
PIAA classification: 6A.
Last D3 playoff appearance/victory: 2025/2013.
Key losses: All-Berks G Yamilex Rodriguez (Cal U), all-division F Tamyia Collier (Rutgers-Camden), all-division honorable mention F Zaniaya Bradley, F Elyssa Spring.
Top players: All-division So. G Xiani Beatty, all-division honorable mention Sr. F JilliAnn Laws.
Key players: Sr. G/F Nayara Ortega, So. G Yolanda Velez, Sr. G Mekhira Gaskins.
Outlook: Following two consecutive seasons ended in the BCIAA playoffs at the hands of Wyomissing, the Red Knights upset the Spartans in the BCIAA semifinals last season and rode that momentum to their first Berks title in 15 years. Replacing Rodriguez will be a tall task, but Beatty showed she's ready for the bright lights during Reading's run through Santander Arena last year.
Berks Catholic Saints
Coach: Bob Birmingham, 15th season, 262-124 (661-330 overall, including 22 seasons at Holy Name).
Last season: 7-5 Berks I, 12-13 overall, District 3 quarterfinalist.
Schedule: Click here.
PIAA classification: 4A.
Last D3 playoff appearance/victory: 2025/2025.
Key losses: All-Berks G Madison Langdon (Randolph-Macon), all-division F Sydney Corado, F Giana Mirenda, F Molly McFadden.
Top players: Sr. G Liv Welker.
Key players: Sr. G Chloe Kantner, Sr. G Lily Wolf, Jr. G Katy Linderman, Jr. F Myah Pegram, So. G Abby Cannon, So. F Janaiyah Ford, So. G Belle Hopkins, So. G/F Esperanza Zudie, Fr. G Jaylianni Ortiz (transferred from Muhlenberg).
Outlook: Large graduation hit means the Saints will be replacing 76 percent of their offensive production from last season. Underclassmen have potential, but how long will it take to find their groove?
Muhlenberg Muhls
Coach: Xiomara Toledo, first season.
Last season: 2-10 Berks I, 6-16 overall.
Schedule: Click here.
PIAA classification: 6A.
Last D3 playoff appearance/victory: 2017/2011.
Key losses: G Sophia Fernandez, C Alexis Garl, F Ryanna Hightower-Prentice (Kutztown).
Top players: All-division honorable mention Sr. G Lianna Martir, So. G Kenleigh Brill.
Key players: Fr. G Blanca Ramos.
Outlook: Toledo steps in for Wes Giddens after three seasons and expects to compete right away. Martir and Brill are top returners as the Muhls aim to finish with their first winning campaign since 2017.
