Amaya Stewart, Sydney Corado Lead Team Red Past Team Blue in Berks County Girls Basketball Senior All-Star Game

Wyomissing senior Amaya Stewart scored 28 points and Berks Catholic senior Sydney Corado had 19 points and five 3-pointers to lead Team Red past Team Blue 81-76 Sunday afternoon in the annual Berks County girls basketball senior all-star game at Berks Catholic's Wolf Gymnasium.


Stewart, an Albany commit and Wyomissing's all-time leading scorer, had 12 points in the first half and 16 points in the second half for Team Red, which was coached by Wyomissing head coach Aaron Anders.

Each half was 23 minutes with a running clock.


Corado scored 10 points and hit two 3-pointers in the first half and nine (three 3s) in the second.


Berks Catholic senior Madison Langdon scored eight of her 12 points in the first half for Team Red.

Langdon, who is the No. 3 scorer in Berks Catholic history and a Randolph-Macon commit, was awarded the Catherine Rhodes Memorial Award by the 3 Point Goal Association President Jean Frey following the game, recognizing her play on the court and dedicated hours of volunteer work off the court.


The event also serves as an opportunity to recognize the All-Berks and first-team all-division teams.


Reading High senior Tamyia Collier led Team Blue with 22 points. Collier's senior teammate Yamilex Rodriguez scored all 11 of her points in the second half. Conrad Weiser senior Lauren Grabosky also had 11 for Team Blue, which was coached by Weiser head coach Chris Kline.
