Gov. Mifflin junior Bella Super entered the 2025-26 season on the verge of breaking 1,000 career points. After scoring 170 total points through her first eight games for a league-high 21.3 scoring average, Super only needs 29 more points to become the 12th Mifflin girl to score 1K.

She could get that next game if her recent play is any indication.
Super scored 33 points and hit eight 3-pointers in a victory over Daniel Boone Thursday, bringing the Mustangs to a 3-1 record in Berks I and 5-3 overall.
The 33 points matches a program record set by Kristen Venne in 1994.
The eight 3s are the most made in a single game in program history. Amanda Christel hit seven 3s in one game on two occasions — once in 2007 and once in 2005. Erin Gottschall hit seven 3s in a game for the Mustangs in 2001. The 3-point line was implemented in Berks girls basketball in 1988.
In fact, the eight 3s are the third-highest total in Berks history trailing only Berks Catholic's Caraline Herb's 12 in 2021 and Brandywine Heights' Sophia Benner's 10 last season.
Super is trying to lead Mifflin back to the Berks championship after falling to Reading High for county gold last year. It would be the Mustangs' 20th league title appearance — second most behind Wilson's 22.
Mifflin has won the most Berks Girls League titles with 14. Reading High follows with 10; Wilson has nine. Berks Catholic, Boyertown (before it moved to the Pioneer Athletic Conference), Kutztown, and Exeter each have three chips.
The Mustangs have a long break until they return to the court to host Lampeter-Strasburg on January 2.
