Former Berks Girls League stars Lori Lobb, Sheila (Stufflet) Ressler, and Corielle Yarde were inducted as part of the eight-member Class of 2025 for the Berks County Basketball Hall of Fame during halftime of the Berks Girls League championship game Friday at Santander Arena.
It's the 17th class of the Berks County Basketball Hall of Fame and the women's basketball category was selected by the 3 Point Goal organization, a supporter of BerksGirlsBasketball.com. The Reading Berks Basketball Association selected five men's inductees:
-Jeff Batturs, Fleetwood
- Mike Eckenroth, Gov. Mifflin
-Scott Gabel, Boyertown
-Wilson Hartranft, Conrad Weiser
-Shawn Swavely, Central Catholic
Here is a breakdown of the women inductees:
Lori Lobb
Lobb was an All-Berks selection in 1984 and led Kutztown to a Berks Girls League championship in 1985. She also played field hockey, leading the Cougars to a third-place finish in the state in 1985.

"When I found out I was to be inducted I was extremely honored," Lobb said. "I have always loved basketball, even though I played other sports. I always played my hardest and gave it my all on the court. To be inducted after all these years of doing something you loved and enjoyed is surreal. Playing for Kutztown, we were a small school, but no one told us that.
"One of my fondest memories was winning the county championship my senior year over Wilson. Looking back, we were probably the underdog, but we had drive, spirit, and a never-quit attitude."
Lobb went on to play at Elizabethtown College, where she started for four years, scored 1,199 career points, was a MAC Northwest Section First-Team All-star and Regional All-American selection in 1989, made the most steals in program history, made the second-most free throws in program history, made the second-most assists in program history, and won the Division III national title in 1989.
Lobb played against Nancy (Keene) Schweigert in the Berks championship in 1985 and after Schweigert went to Shippensburg after high school, she ended up transferring to play and room with Lobb at E-Town. The rivals-turned-roommates became great friends and Schweigert flew in from Arizona to see Lobb inducted Friday.
"That is who she is," Lobb said. "Interesting how life unfolds."
Lobb also played softball at E-Town and coached Kutztown's junior high and JV teams in 1997, 1998, 2008, and 2009.
Sheila (Stufflet) Ressler
Ressler graduated from Wilson in 2000 after starting all four seasons, scoring 1,558 points, winning two county titles and three District 3 titles. She was the Berks Player of the Year in her senior season.

Ressler is the No. 21 scorer in Berks Girls Basketball history and the No. 2 scorer in Wilson girls history.
"It's an honor to be inducted into the Berks County Hall of Fame just like it was the Wilson Hall of Fame," Ressler said. "I wouldn't be where I am without my teammates. It sounds so cliche but it's true. I was playing with those girls since like third and fourth grade.
"We started at St. Ignatius together. We won a state championship together and were 37-0 in CYO. The banner is still hanging in that gym from 1992. When you look at it, it's all the teammates I got to play with at Wilson."
Ressler fondly remembers all the championships she won at Wilson, but falling in love with the game when she was young and playing with a group of talented teammates are just as strong memories.
"Vicki Quimby (Bucknell) and Adrienne Reese's (Jefferson) dads used to do workouts for us in their garages in like third and fourth grade," Ressler said. "My sister, Tricia, and I used to play outside against the boys. Outside of the championships, I just loved the process of falling in love with the game of basketball."
Ressler went on to play at the University of Pittsburgh where she started all four seasons and now serves as Wilson's JV girls head coach.
Corielle Yarde
Yarde is the No. 2 scorer in Berks Girls League history with 2,283 points after four years at Schuylkill Valley, where she averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game. She is one of only six girls to score 2,000 points in her high school career.

Yarde was the Berks Player of the Year three seasons, including being named third-team All-state as a sophomore, second-team All-state as a junior, and first-team All-state as a senior.
Yarde, teamed with Gladine St. Juliene (Millersville), led the legendary Panthers to their only Berks Girls League championship in 2005.
After high school, Yarde had an impressive college career at Marist, winning four straight MAAC championships. In the NCAA Tournament, Yarde scored 15 points against Georgetown in an opening-round loss as a sophomore.
As a junior, she had 12 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in a first-round win over Iowa in the NCAA Tournament. Yarde scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a second-round loss against Duke.
As a senior at Marist, Yarde averaged 14.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game as the Red Foxes won their fourth straight MAAC title and won MAAC player of the year. She had 21 points, seven rebounds and two assists in No. 13 Marist's upset victory over No. 4 Georgia in the NCAA Tournament.
In Yarde's four seasons at Marist, the team went 66-6 in MAAC play and won 112 games.
Yarde is in the midst of her 14th year as a third-grade teacher at Schuylkill Valley.
