Former Twin Valley standout Peyton McDaniel turned loyalty into legacy at James Madison, finishing her career with 2,325 points — ranking among the top scorers in NCAA women’s basketball history. Through injury, conference changes, and the transfer portal era, McDaniel stayed true to one program while building one of the greatest careers in JMU history.

Former Wyomissing standout Amaya Stewart’s rise continued at the Division I level as the freshman forward captured America East Rookie of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year honors at UAlbany. After a dominant high school career, Stewart quickly became a fan favorite with her energy, toughness, and production, helping position the Great Danes for another championship push.

Former Wilson standout Zakiyah Winfield, who went on to star at Glenville State and Buffalo, and played professionally in Germany with Eisvogel USC Freiburg. As she rehabs from injury, she’s focused on giving back to Berks County basketball through her Then2Now Foundation and her third annual camp at Alvernia on Aug. 10, inspiring the next generation of players.

Dee Kantner, a trailblazer in women’s sports and proud Exeter grad, returned to Berks County for a 3 Point Goal fundraiser. From winning county and district titles under Coach Jean Frey to officiating 26 NCAA Final Fours, Kantner's journey is nothing short of legendary. She credits Frey’s tough love as a lasting influence and continues to inspire as a leader, mentor, and pioneer in basketball officiating.
