For the second straight season, Gov. Mifflin's Bella Super has been selected to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls' Basketball Team.

Super, a 5-8 junior guard, was once again selected to the Class 6A third team. She was the only Berks County representative on the lists.

Last season, Super made All-State with Wyomissing all-time leading scorer Amaya Stewart, who was a first-team selection in Class 4A for three consecutive seasons.

Two years ago, Stewart shared All-State honors with Exeter senior Grace Reedy, who was a 5A third-team pick and graduated as the Eagles’ all-time leading scorer.

Three years ago, Fleetwood senior Alexis Hess and Stewart each were selected to the 4A first team. Four years ago, Hess was the only Berks player to make All-State, landing on the 5A first team. Five years ago, Wyomissing senior Lily Seyfert made the Class 4A second team and Hess made the 5A third team.

Super now carries that All-State tradition forward for Berks County.

The junior turned in another standout season for the Mustangs, averaging a Berks-high 18.9 points per game while leading Gov. Mifflin to an 18-10 record and its first appearance in the PIAA playoffs since 2020.

A consistent scoring threat from all three levels, Super knocked down a league-best 63 3-pointers and converted 81 free throws — the second-most in Berks — while shooting 69.8 percent from the line.

Gov. Mifflin’s postseason run included a strong showing in the state tournament, where the Mustangs pushed WPIAL champion Canon-McMillan to the brink before falling 48-46 in a tightly contested first-round matchup.

Super’s production has continued to elevate her standing among Berks County’s all-time great scorers. She enters her senior season with 1,329 career points, already ranking 46th in county history with a full year still to play.

She is within range of Gov. Mifflin’s all-time scoring record held by Ashley Espinosa (1,803), the No. 11 scorer in Berks history. Super is also chasing Nicci Rinaldi (1,432) and Chiara Sockel (Renninger) (1,535) in Mifflin lore.

Her development will continue into the offseason as Super prepares to compete with the Sports City Angels 17U EYBL team, facing elite national competition on the Nike circuit.

Now a two-time All-State selection and one of Pennsylvania’s top returning guards, Super heads into her senior season with both individual milestones and team success firmly within reach. She'll be looking to lead the Mustangs to their first county title since 2022 after Mifflin appeared in the semifinals and championship the past two seasons.

Super last season became the first Mifflin player to earn All-State recognition since Emily Gingrich in 2013 and Espinosa in 2012 and 2011.
