How the Mustangs got here: A high-powered starting lineup. The Mustangs returned four starters from their county runner-up squad last season: Juniors Bella Super, Bridget Martin, and Brooklyn George and sophomore Saray Renninger. Junior Ja'Tiyah Case (4.7 ppg) returned to full health after playing in only five games last season and slid into the starting five for head coach Mike Clark. Super (19.8 ppg) leads Berks in scoring and reached 1,000 career points earlier in the year. Martin (11.5 ppg), George (9.3 ppg), and Renninger (9.1 ppg) are all capable of getting hot. Besides two losses to Wilson, the Mustangs other losses have come to York Suburban, Cumberland Valley, and Central York. They've won four in a row to end the season. Gov. Mifflin has won the most Berks girls basketball titles with 14, the last coming in 2022. The Mustangs have the No. 2 offense in the league at 56.0 ppg. They are allowing 44.7 ppg. They've hit the second-most 3s at 115. Last season, the Mustangs outscored Wilson by 11 in the second half to advance to Berks final, where they fell to Reading High.

How the Lynx got here: Consistency. The past three seasons, Oley Valley has fended off worthy challengers for the Berks IV crown in Brandywine Heights (the previous two seasons) and Kutztown this year. Head coach Kerry Snyder continuously reloads the cupboard with deep rosters of high-level multi-sport athletes. Eight players have played in 21 games or more: Junior Kadyn Rhoads (9.8 ppg), senior Julia Wagner (8.5 ppg), senior Lily Hare (5.7 ppg), sophomore Nina Bauer (5.4 ppg), junior Taylor Schlegel (4.0 ppg), senior Makenzie Myers (2.9), sophomore Emma DeBalko (2.9 ppg), and sophomore Reese DeBalko (2.2 ppg). The Lynx aren't worried about individual stats, they solely care about winning. Oley has the No. 7 offense in Berks at 44.1 ppg and the fourth-best defense, allowing 34.2 ppg. Last season, the Lynx fell to Wyomissing in the Berks quarterfinals before beating Columbia for their first District 3 playoff win in 10 years. Oley has never appeared in a BCIAA title game; it las won a county playoff game in 2014.

Winner plays: Exeter or Twin Valley, Feb. 11 at Santander Arena.
