Twin Valley went scoreless in the first quarter and top scorer Hailey Kilgore had zero points at halftime Tuesday night in a crucial Berks II matchup against Conrad Weiser, yet the Raiders still found a way to pull out a 40-35 victory over the Scouts in Elverson.
"We were getting good shots they just weren't falling," said Kilgore, who averages a team-high 13.1 points per game and has hit 34 3s on the season. "Things started coming together and we all picked our heads back up. Shots started falling."
Kilgore exploded for 16 second-half points and the Raiders held off the Scouts late to complete the regular season sweep.

The win puts the Raiders (5-3 Berks II, 12-6 overall) two games ahead of the Scouts (3-5, 11-6) as they aim for their first division title since the 2021-22 season. Twin Valley has finished as Berks II runner-up the past two seasons behind Exeter.
"This was a big win for us," Kilgore said. "Defintely a big momentum swing. Now we just have to keep taking care of business."
The Raiders wrap up their regular season with league games against Daniel Boone and Exeter, a league crossover game with Gov. Mifflin, and a non-league game against Cocalico.
They are in a great position to not only qualify for the BCIAA playoffs, but also the District 3 playoffs where they are currently ranked No. 7 out of 14 qualifying teams in Class 5A.
The Raiders played a tough gauntlet of games after their 55-50 victory over Conrad Weiser on January 7 losing league crossover games to Wilson, Reading High, and Berks Catholic
"We needed to bounce back after hitting a bit of a rough stretch," Twin Valley head coach Matt Hahn said. "We played great team defense. From letting up 50 points last time [we played Conrad Weiser] to only 35 tonight was definitely a step in the right direction."

The 35 points scored by Conrad Weiser was its third-lowest scoring output of the season.
"Our communication was great today," Kilgore said. "Our matchups were a little better [than last time we played Conrad Weiser]. After our first game we had a better idea of what they were going to do and how their players played. I think we matched up better with them today."
The Scouts led 5-0 after the first quarter and 15-11 at halftime.
Kilgore scored nine of the Raiders' 13 points as Twin Valley tied the game 24-24 by the end of the third quarter.
Lauren Grabosky scored nine of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Scouts jumped ahead.
The Raiders trailed by six midway through the fourth before going on a 7-0 run capped by Kilgore's 3 to take a 33-32 lead and force a Weiser timeout with 1:21 remaining.
Ellie Kaplan made one of two free throws to give the Raiders the lead with less than five seconds in the game before Kilgore converted two more free throws after a Weiser technical foul to push the lead to 38-35.
A bucket as time expired sealed a five-point win for the Raiders.
Kilgore scored seven points in the fourth and went 4-for-4 from the stripe in the final quarter.
