"Addison is a great young player who draws a lot of attention and pressure from other teams," Exeter head coach Derek Wolfe said. "She can score inside and out and continues to improve. It was a great team win against Reading."

In that win over Reading High on Saturday, the Eagles (7-4) battled back from an eight-point deficit at the end of the third quarter, outscoring the Red Knights 23-11 in the third to pull away for a 59-55 victory.

Harper scored 11 of her game-high 21 points in that fourth quarter, including two 3s and an and-one, to lead the Eagles.

The sophomore also scored a game-high 23 points in a 69-33 win over East Pennsboro Monday and game-high 14 points in a 44-20 victory over Wyomissing on Tuesday.

Each week, BGB will select a Player of the Week with input and nominations from Berks Girls League coaches and our staff.

This season, the selected player will be featured on billboards in central Berks County and in the area of that player's school district, courtesy of Lamar Advertising. Keep an eye out for the billboards featuring Harper throughout the week.

Harper, an all-division honorable mention pick as a freshman last season, is averaging a team-high 17.6 points per game. She averaged 8.6 ppg as a freshman.

Her scoring average is No. 3 in Berks this season, trailing only Gov. Mifflin's Bella Super and Twin Valley's Hailey Kilgore.

The Eagles have already matched their win total from last season, when they went 7-15.

This is the first Player of the Week selection for Harper and fourth for Exeter overall.

Exeter all-time leading scorer Grace Reedy was selected for the award in 2022-23 and 2023-24. Meredith Fylypowycz was selected last season.

Player of the Week was initially awarded by Mike Drago Sports, where Berks girls basketball coverage was previously provided from 2022-24.

Players considered for Player of the Week honors are nominated by their coach, an opposing Berks coach, and/or by members of the BerksGirlsBasketball.com coverage team.
