Kailani Hardy, a 5-9 junior guard, had 16 points in a win over Gov. Mifflin, 13 points in a win over Reading High, and 20 points in a win over Central Bucks East to earn her the BerksGirlsBasketball.com Player of the Week.

Hardy, who recently picked up her first Division I offer from LaSalle, had 13 points in the fourth quarter of the win over CB East including a game-tying 3-pointer with 18 seconds left and the go-ahead layup with 3 seconds left.

CB East is currently the No. 2 team in the District 1 Class 6A power rankings.

Hardy also had six rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks in the victory over Gov. Mifflin, which clinched the Bulldogs their third consecutive Berks I title and likely the No. 1 seed in the BCIAA playoffs.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season 12-0 in league play and 20-2 overall.

Hardy, an All-Berks pick last year and honorable mention choice as a freshman, has developed her all-around game significantly this season.

Beyond being tied with senior teammate Laila Jones as the team's top scorer (12.2 ppg), Hardy is usually guarding the opposing team's best offensive guard and has become a great passer and rebounder. She has hit 26 3s on the year.

This is the second week in a row a Bulldog has been selected Player of the Week after Jones was selected last week.

This season, the Player of the Week will be featured on billboards in central Berks County and in the area of that player's school district, courtesy of Lamar Advertising. Keep an eye out for the billboards featuring Hardy throughout the week.

This is the second Player of the Week selection for Hardy and sixth overall for Wilson.

Hardy was selected last season.

Jones also won the award in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Violet Houck won it in 2023-24.

Player of the Week was initially awarded by Mike Drago Sports, where Berks girls basketball coverage was previously provided from 2022-24.

Players considered for Player of the Week honors are nominated by their coach, an opposing Berks coach, and/or by members of the BerksGirlsBasketball.com coverage team.
