Kadyn Rhoads, a 5-8 junior wing, had nine points, six rebounds, and five steals in Oley Valley's 46-32 victory over Kutztown in the District 3 Class 3A quarterfinals and a team-high 10 points in a 65-31 loss to Trinity in the semifinals last week, earning her the BerksGirlsBasketball.com Player of the Week.

The Lynx (15-10) play Columbia Tuesday in the third-place game for a spot in the PIAA playoffs.

Rhoads, a Bloomsburg field hockey commit, is the top scorer for the Berks IV champions with a 10.0 average.

"Kadyn's energy, hustle, and athleticism are second to none," Oley Valley head coach Kerry Snyder said. "Always upbeat and positive, Kadyn's willingness to take on challenging defensive assignments and heavier gameplay responsibilities is remarkable."

Rhoads has steadily improved her production at the varsity level, increasing her scoring average from 1.2 in 13 games as a freshman to 5.9 in 23 games as a sophomore to 10.0 in all 25 games for Oley this year.

In those three seasons, the Lynx have won three straight division titles and two district playoff games. The victory in last season's district playoffs was the first for the program since 2010.

This is the first Player of the Week selection for Rhoads and fourth overall for Oley Valley.

Morgan Snyder was selected once in 2022-23 and once in 2023-24. Izzy Buehler was selected last season.

This season, the Player of the Week will be featured on billboards in central Berks County and in the area of that player's school district, courtesy of Lamar Advertising. Keep an eye out for the billboards featuring Rhoads throughout the week.
